IT Infrastructure

To streamline service delivery, maximize uptime and performance, and reduce maintenance costs for our customers, Criterion develops, maintains, and matures industry-leading solutions. Increasingly, we use our expertise to offer strategically focused managed services to help Federal IT customers balance flexibility and control with infrastructure management, information assurance, cybersecurity,  application management, and end user services. Criterion develops, maintains, and matures industry-leading solutions, such as:

ISO 20000 Certified Service Delivery Procedures – Criterion’s ISO 20000-1:2011 certified IT Service Management (ITSM) system documents proven service delivery methodologies that drive continuous availability and performance of IT systems, maximizing uptime and applying Knowledge Management (KM) and Problem Management best practices to improve Mean Time to Restore (MTTR) and First Call Resolution (FCR) rates over time.

Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) Solutions – HCI offers enterprises opportunities to prepare for a software-defined future with an agile, cost-effective model that can easily adapt to changing needs. Criterion brings extensive experience leveraging HCI to combine compute, storage, and management onto industry-standard servers for a radically simple solution that lowers costs, reduces complexity, and scales to tomorrow’s demands of IT.

360° Monitoring and Rapid Response – Applying top-down and bottom-up monitoring techniques and configuring automated alerts enables our team to rapidly identify and diagnose system/network availability and/or performance issues. Combined with a rapid response capability facilitated through ISO 20000-certified escalation procedures, this enables Criterion to restore full availability/performance within SLAs, so our customers can get back to work faster.

Transitioning to Managed Services – Recognizing that technology is only one dimension of successful implementation of managed services, Criterion forms multi-discipline teams to support organizational change (i.e., people) and drive processes to transition to performance-based environments. Resources involved include IT architects, cloud engineers, contracts specialists, and OEM relationship specialists. Our managed services transition methodology provides an enterprise strategy for consolidation, modernization, and migration, while continuing to enhance user services and satisfaction. Systems Engineering

Systems engineering plays a critical role in delivering a unified technical environment that eliminates inefficiencies, improves control over system boundaries, and enables seamless integration across multiple domains. In addition to technology expertise, Criterion’s systems engineering teams also bring a variety of boundary-crossing competencies, including Strategy and Planning (informed by the Technology Business Management (TBM) framework), Program Management Office (PMO), Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), and Policy and Governance.

To deliver holistic systems engineering support, Criterion leverages its comprehensive methodology V-Model Methodology that integrates industry best practices from CMMI for Development Level 3 for process standardization and maturation, ISO 27001 to build security controls and continuous monitoring capabilities into systems from concept to O&M, and ISO 20000 to drive high quality service delivery and continuous improvement over the life of the system. The V-model provides a structured approach to systems engineering activities that can be applied to both integration efforts to create a common set of IT services and systems across the enterprise, as well as infrastructure modernization projects to implement a modern, flexible, secure, and scalable computing environment. This approach provides structured processes encompassing both the technical and non-technical aspects of solving business problems and defining solutions, to include business process reengineering to provide continual alignment and realignment of processes with customer priorities and goals.
