Systems engineering plays a critical role in delivering a unified technical environment that eliminates inefficiencies, improves control over system boundaries, and enables seamless integration across multiple domains. Application Development

To rapidly organize and deliver custom software applications that fulfill all customer requirements within short time frames and at a lower cost, Criterion incorporates the following features to provide an application development methodology offering unique benefits to our customers:

Software Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE) – Best practices and lessons learned on Criterion’s development contracts are documented, maintained, and disseminated to development teams on other contracts through our Software Engineering CoE. The CoE provides a unique Knowledge Management (KM) function to ensure each of our development teams remains up-to-date with emerging technologies, strategies, and best practices as they are established. This directly benefits customers by ensuring we deliver the most effective, most efficient development support.

CMMI Level 3 Certified Processes – Certification at CMMI Level 3 demonstrates that Criterion brings detailed, mature methodologies to execute application development requirements. At Maturity Level 3, these processes are defined and implemented across our customers’ organizations to drive repeated success and continuous improvement. Processes are designed to promote our customers’ long term strategic objectives and prevent known risks from impacting project outcomes. Modern DevOps Approach – Criterion’s DevOps approach drives highly effective collaboration between developers, operations teams, and architecture groups, enabling Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) of software releases. CI/DI provides the fundamental techniques to integrate middleware changes as they become available. By focusing on continuous integration of small changes, rather than integrating a large group of changes, the DevOps approach reduces complexity, makes it easier to walk back a change if needed, and makes it simpler to identify the root cause of integration issues.
