02 Nov New Solutions Needed to Build Cybersecurity Workforce
By Bob Heckman, CIO
A recent report from (ISC)² finds the global cybersecurity workforce gap has increased to three million. Unfortunately, the cybersecurity labor shortage is going to get worse before it gets better, and organizations need to be prepared.
Conventional education can’t keep up with the dynamic, ever-changing demand for cybersecurity skills. Closing the gap in cybersecurity skills requires organizations to develop critical technical skills, cultivate a larger and more diverse workforce, and reform education and training programs to include more hands-on learning. We are proud to be engaged with the Learning Center-Las Vegas to support their new Cybersecurity Apprentice Program, leveraging new solutions to build the cybersecurity workforce necessary in today’s IoT world.
