Summer 2021 Internship Program

Explore IT and cybersecurity careers in Federal Government contracting and make a difference this summer!

Criterion is hiring paid summer interns to help support our information technology and cybersecurity professionals in the design, development and implementation of services and solutions to support Criterion and its Federal customer base.

This program is designed for students who are just starting to explore IT careers and is open to rising high school seniors and freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in college.

Key Facts

  • 6-8 weeks (May through August)
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • Paid
  • Remote-only at the beginning, although there is a possibility of in-person work later in the summer, pending safety decisions.
  • While not automatically designed to support earning credits for school, we are willing to work with the intern and the school/college to support such an endeavor.

Projects Available

Interns will support projects in three primary areas:  Project Management, Operations, and Engineering. Activities may include:

  • Assisting in drafting project charters for technology projects.
  • Conducting research into Federal law, regulations, rules, and directives to determine compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Preparing draft policy documents to address identified policy or procedural gaps.
  • Engaging in peer-review exercises to ensure documentation adheres to quality standards.
  • Researching features and functionality of new tools and preparing recommendations of their applicability for the production environment.
  • Investigating current workflows to identify outdated, obsolete, or duplicative processes and preparing improvement recommendations.
  • Providing technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions.
