Our team of expert staff plan, build, and operate IT and communication systems in support of the National Nuclear Security Administration's Office of Secure Transportation (OST) for the United States Department of Energy. The Office of Secure Transportation is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of government-owned special nuclear materials in the contiguous United States.

Criterion Systems is looking to hire a Windows System Administrator to support our customer onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of systems administration on diverse hardware and software platforms hosted from a virtualization infrastructure. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to support systems, hardware, applications, printers, monitoring solutions, backup technologies, mobile devices, and vulnerability management in a dynamic enterprise environment. They will also be responsible for mentoring junior administrators.

Essential Skills & Responsibilities

  • Strong problem solving skills; demonstrated experience with in-depth troubleshooting
  • Experience/knowledge of Windows Servers 2012 R2, and 2016
  • Experience/knowledge of Active Directory including Group Policy design & implementation.
  • Experience with Windows 10 and desktop deployment solutions
  • Experience with virtualization solutions; i.e. server builds, maintenance, etc.
  • Experience with backup solutions and technologies such as Commvault
  • Excellent communication skills, across various levels of leadership & activity. 
  • Strong analytical skills

Requirements & Experience

  • US Citizenship
  • Current TS, L, or Q clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance at this level
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience to be used in lieu of a degree
  • You must possess at least five (5) years of experience with Windows operating systems.
  • You must possess at least three (3) years of experience with virtualization.
  • Patch management experience including Windows Server Update Services
  • Support for network technologies such as DNS & DHCP
  • Experience with system backup technologies & products

Desired Skills, Experience or Certifications

  • Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs).
  • Network + Certification
  • Security + Certification or InfoSec Training.
