We are looking for candidates to help deliver full lifecycle development and sustainment for the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS). The NCPS assists more than 100 federal civilian government agencies with the protection of their networks against advanced cyber threats. Under this contract, you will support the government in the design, development, operations and maintenance services for the NCPS. Together we will build the mission critical cybersecurity solutions that will enable the timely dissemination of threat warnings and improve information sharing across DHS's stakeholder community.

Criterion Systems is seeking a Systems Integrator provides expert knowledge of large-scale, system integration of hardware and software components. Provides a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components. The Systems Integrator works with developers, as needed, to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system integration.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • 6+ years of directly relevant systems integration experience, ideally in an Agile development environment
  • Must have a deep technical understanding of IT infrastructure integration (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, storage systems, firewalls, etc.), TCP/IP behavior, and application data flows between systems.
  • 2+ years of systems administration experience including hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Linux preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or 7, Windows, VMware
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to successfully work complex integration issues affecting multiple teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and/or Windows OS installations, security hardening and maintenance
  • Knowledge and experience configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
  • Comfortable with building physical and virtual servers from scratch
  • Ability to deploy and integrate new applications that may be requested
  • Capable of quickly learning new applications that run on various operating systems for testing and deployment.
  • Experience with administration and management of servers to include installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery
  • Experience with performance tuning including identifying and resolving contention in CPU, memory, networking, disk I/O, etc.
  • Familiar with fundamentals of scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments (e.g. Bash Shell, Python & Kickstart technologies)
  • Integration & implementation experience with various services such as LDAP, Samba, NFS, Bind, Apache, and other core technologies.
  • Familiarity of configuration management
  • Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible or similar product.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with physical and virtual (VMware) RHEL servers including Red Hat Satellite Servers.
  • Comfortable with multilevel security systems, SELinux, and/or Cross Domain Solutions
  • Experience with data orchestration software such as Apache NiFi or StreamSets
  • Experience with distributed compute environments such as Hadoop
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities, including good understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Well-Architected Framework, AWS certification.
  • Experience working in AWS via the CLI and management console.
  • Knowledge and experience configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Azure cloud services
  • Experience working in DevOps or DevSecOps environments.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.

Desired Certifications:

  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
