Criterion Systems is seeking support for The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is a United States federally chartered corporation created by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to encourage the continuation and maintenance of voluntary private defined benefit pension plans, provide timely and uninterrupted payment of pension benefits, and keep pension insurance premiums at the lowest level necessary to carry out its operations. 

 The Enterprise Architect is responsible for conducting enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation, using a comprehensive approach at all times, for the successful development and execution of strategy. The Enterprise Architect applies architecture principles and practices to guide the Agency through the business, information, process, and technology changes necessary to execute their strategies. The Enterprise Architect leads a team responsible for providing ITSM Tool Support; IT Service Catalog Support; IT Infrastructure and Application Availability, Capacity, and Performance Monitoring; and Reporting and Dashboarding.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 2 support for incidents relating to Agency’s ServiceNow instances; specifically, the IT Service Management (ITSM) module as well as Agency’s on-premise ServiceNow MID server which facilitates communication and movement of data between the ServiceNow platform and external applications, data sources, and services including configuration item discovery.
  • Maintain a centralized IT service catalog or catalogs of IT systems, resources, and services that can be requested by Agency users to obtain IT service in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Provide support for the service catalog tool(s) to include tracking of and implementation of tool enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Provide support for IT infrastructure and application availability, capacity, and performance monitoring to help ensure Agency’s infrastructure and supported applications are fully functional and performing optimally in all Agency computing environments and to facilitate identification of issues when they aren’t.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and address issues pertaining to Agency’s IT Infrastructure and Application Availability, Capacity, and Performance Monitoring tools; e.g. HP/MicroFocus NNMi, SiteScope, BSM, BAC, etc.
  • Provide ongoing Reporting and Dashboarding about IT infrastructure in addition to providing support for Agency’s enterprise-wide reporting and business intelligence tools; currently Oracle BI Publisher 11.x and Tableau 10.x.
  • Leverage disparate data sources and reporting capabilities to meet Agency reporting requirements, e.g. ServiceNow reporting capabilities and data to report on IT Service Management, HP/Microfocus tools and data to report on IT infrastructure and application availability; capacity; and performance, Splunk to report on event-based data, Active Directory and SailPoint for reporting on identity and access management, and SharePoint on-line for all kinds of miscellaneous data.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Network Engineering, Telecommunications Networks.
  • Hands on experience with ServiceNow
  • knowledge of Oracle BI Publisher 11.x and Tableau 10.x.
  • Deep knowledge of HP/MicroFocus NNMi, SiteScope, BSM, BAC and other related tools.
  • Technical expertise with SharePoint on-line
