Our expert-level staff analyze, create, implement, and support cutting edge technologies in support of the Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) contract for the United States Department of Agriculture. DISC provides critical IT infrastructure, data center services, and cloud hosting for vital federal government functions.  

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers as required gaining a sufficient understanding of their business application environment (e.g., critical application production timeframes), document system requirements, and aligning to available service offerings.
  • Review and provide feedback on service documentation (catalog, appendices, and architectural standards).
  • Provide formal written communications and customer proposal input
  • Communicate with the executive leadership regarding key priorities and tasks
  • Provide process and organizational observations and improvement suggestions
  • Consult on customer engagement strategies
  • Develop customer management input and communications
  • Lead customer engagements to create innovative technology solutions
  • Ensure DISC achieves best possible value from its technology investments
  • Engage key technology vendors as necessary to optimize productivity of IT solutions.

Requirements

  • Acts independently to provide business and/or technical information technology consulting support to DISC and customer agencies.  Works with executives in DISC and customer agencies to formulate enterprise-wide business and/or technical information technology product and/or service strategies.
  • Develops and applies state-of-the-art consulting methodologies, business models and organizational behavior models to conceptualize methods to apply business and/or technical information technology products and services as strategic assets. Applies extensive industry and enterprise knowledge to identify and recommend integrated solutions, products and services to support the enterprise's accomplishments of business goals or technical needs.  Provides recommendations and guidance in the design, development, implementation and management of products and solutions.  Researches, recommends, and defends positions on new emerging technologies, techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated skills in preparing formal written communications for a senior executive audience including but not limited to analysis of alternatives, technology architectural proposals, conceptualization and emerging technology proposals, white papers, models, customer proposals, executive presentations and other written communications, as assigned.
  • Develops and delivers executive presentations to customers and DISC management.
  • Transfers knowledge to others and serves as a mentor/coach for selected specialty areas.
  • US Citizen
  • 10 years of IT industry experience
  • Master's degree
