Pricing Manager

Vienna, VA


The Pricing Manager will develop pricing proposals for Criterion’s Federal customers. They will provide guidance on (to include leading and supporting various Price to Win activities) and develop the costing and pricing of the company's most complex price proposals. They will develop and recommend various pricing strategies to both increase probability of win and maintain profitability upon award. They will establish strong working relationships with various operating and support functions and maintain Pricing's role as a trusted business partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Capture Management and Solutions Development teams to develop pricing strategy for company bids
  • Design and populate Microsoft Excel pricing models that comply with bid submission requirements and Criterion’s costing and reporting standards
  • Maintain compliance with various external (FAR, CAS, GSA and IDIQ schedule) and internal regulations, policies, and requirements
  • Work with business unit leadership to understand the company pipeline and portfolio of upcoming opportunities and existing projects
  • Responsible for all aspects of the cost and business proposal
  • Manage assigned teammates/subcontractors as a part of the proposal process and perform activities including developing budget templates, providing budget assumptions including cash flow, negotiating budgets, reviewing budgets and notes, and ensuring final submissions conform to customer requirements
  • Analyze and confirm that the Basis of Estimate (BOE) complies with solicitation, FAR, and company requirements
  • Lead pricing reviews and perform compliance reviews

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is a plus, but not a must.
  • 5+ years of related experience in Federal government contract pricing
  • US Citizenship required

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent relationship building skills with the ability to support and interface with executive management
  • Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures
  • Working knowledge and experience with all contract types (i.e. cost types, time & materials, fixed price, and IDIQs/GWACs)
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance if requested

  • Ability to understand high-level technical concepts related to information technology and systems engineering
