Systems Architect

Criterion Systems is currently staffing for an Systems Architect to support at both the Application and System level for Identity Access and Credentials Management (ICAM) services. At the Application level, architecture support is required for services in the Customer’s Authentication, Attribute, and Common Services workspace. This includes the federated systems of Secure Token System (STS) and the C2S Access Portal (CAP) under Authentication; Enterprise Virtual Directory Engine (VDE) and the LDAP directory that supports the Open Source Environment for Attributes; and the Common Services such as the API Gateway system, a registration service, and the data dictionary effort. Applications architecture is closely coordinated with contractor development teams in order to improve the services and adhere to ICAM goals and standards. Close coordination of cross-system activities and addressing new or emerging COTS products that align with ICAM standards are performed in this area, as well as validation of a system’s ability to integrate with other ICAM systems. Technologies used include Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Open Authorization (OAuth), Multi factor Authentication (MFA), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Universal Attribute and Authorization Service (UAAS) and Application Programming Interfaces (API). System Architect support is required for Enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management systems affecting multiple networks, applications, technologies, infrastructure, IT processes, IT policies, and information security requirements.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a lead tactical and strategic technical integrator researching and integrating design strategies, which include product specifications, compliance standards, and user expectations, into delivered capabilities.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience with the Customer’s partners’ application services solutions.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience with all access control security services, including dependencies on other capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience adjudicating competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience adding user requirements to technical project roadmaps and schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting Customer decision making by conducting alternatives analyses of capability enhancements.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting information systems security analyses or reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with security vulnerabilities associated with cross-domain operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in customer forums that address key areas such as strategy, architecture, policy, roadmaps, key processes, dependencies, interoperability, technology, and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience recommending architectural enhancements to enterprise ICAM services
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and applying new technologies to enterprise ICAM services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and integrating solutions consistent with requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise level deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience with data attribute validation, acquisition, management and repurposing for use in digital policies and processes as the basis of secure solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and presenting program documentation at all stakeholder levels.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting implementation of authentication, authorization, and auditing to include customer governance, technical specifications, standards, policy definitions, and customer interfaces.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering integrated security solutions across multiple security domains.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels to identify and shape solutions that meet both performance and Information Assurance requirements.
  • Must have an active TS/ISSA clearance walking in the door - No Exceptions.
  • US Citizenship required.

  • Demonstrated experience with customer security processes and policies, Security Initiatives, Data Security policies and requirements, and accreditation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale enterprise programs and Mission Oriented Access Control and Security Management Solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience with access control and identity management as applied to provisioning systems, workflow systems, user attributes, and role-based permissions
  • Demonstrated experience with translating secure identity assertions across controlled interfaces using SAML, WS-Trust, or other industry standards
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise level capabilities that drive new customer standards
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise level capabilities that comply and align with the Customer’s partners standards
