Criterion Systems provides valuable support to the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) IT Systems Engineering and Integration Support Program for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The DOL prepares the American workforce for new and better jobs, and ensures the adequacy of America’s workplaces. We seek candidates that provide high operational quality, knowledge of cloud services, and value to assist with data center consolidation and advance the DOL Mission.

Job Duties

  • Comprehends customer’s business problem and design a solution to improve performance, reduce cost and eliminate security concerns.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
  • Responsible for design and development of applications in SOA or client/server environment.
  • Provides technical leadership for the development, maintenance, and support of the enterprise information integration architecture.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the development of SOA strategies and roadmaps.
  • Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve problems.
  • Performs research, evaluation and/or provides recommendation for new alternative solutions and technologies to enable and improve data integration across the enterprise.
  • Proposes technical solutions for information architecture development, metadata management, master data management, data profiling and quality management, and enterprise data integration.
  • Provide architecture and design for data migration to cloud
  • Develop routines to implement and manage data migration
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting the virtualization platforms including ESX/ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, Horizon View VDI etc. in multi-site environment.
  • Working knowledge with Diagnostic tools, automation, and recovery systems using standard or proprietary scripting and programming utilities, Advanced networking, monitoring, troubleshooting along with storage troubleshooting

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. An additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Relevant system/network engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with VDI architecture.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
