Our staff provides cyber security support to the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration.

Criterion Systems is looking to immediately hire an Archer Administrator. The primary responsibilities of the Archer Administrator are to support the RSA Archer Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) application, to maintain and assure its current functionality, and to implement new projects and initiatives to help enhance its usefulness to the organization. This position will be required to conduct outreach to various sites for their input and requirements, coordinate and collaborate with other system admins and stakeholders, and work directly with the Project Manager to execute the project requirements and realize the project goals. There will be additional collaboration with the Cyber Security teams to capture monitoring data per the Continuous Monitoring initiatives and to implement and enhance the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) module, and further requirements as the project progresses and the platform matures.  This position reports directly to leadership; must have strong verbal and written communication skills for presentations related to activities.

Position Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Active Department of Energy (DOE) “Q” Clearance OR Top Secret Security Clearance OR Secret Clearance OR the ability to obtain a clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university emphasizing information systems management and/or security arena. Specific experience in technical security may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Demonstrate specialized experience (minimum of 3 years) of direct system- or application-level support, including applications and underlying services, Operating Systems, hardware, and various data transfer protocols.
  • Experience with Archer solutions development (screen design, data fields, calculations, workflows and integrations) or experience with the same type of functionality in a similar environment.
  • Risk Management & Compliance knowledge and understanding of Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC).
  • Assist in the design and development of management reporting available through the eGRC system including dashboards
  • Knowledge of GRC configuration/workflow activities
  • Solid understanding of IT control environments and frameworks (NIST SP 800-53) and/or the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (i.e., ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations in group and individual settings). 
  • Experience with Security Incident and Event Management tools, Log Management and Correlation tools, and vulnerability scanning tools a plus.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills (i.e., ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work, and to control and follow up to assure work completion).
  • Demonstrated initiative (i.e. initiate appropriate action without being directed) and ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., ability to work effectively on teams, communicate effectively, teach/motivate/counsel students, work/interact effectively and amicably with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and with diverse personal attributes).
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol, network traffic analysis, firewall functionality, log analysis, and be able to troubleshoot in all areas. Must also understand and be able to utilize various Linux and Windows-based Operating Systems in an IDS/IPS architecture.
