Our expert-level staff analyze, create, implement, and support cutting edge technologies in support of the National Information Technology Center (NITC) for the United States Department of Agriculture. NITC provides critical IT infrastructure, data center services, and cloud hosting for vital federal government functions.  

Job Requirements

  • Ensure hardware/software compatibility, driver updates, manufacturer’s maintenance releases and system performance meet objectives.
  • Adhere to customer Incident and Change Management processes for all activities performed on behalf of customers
  • Resolve customer Incident and Service Requests which may include working with other teams in support of LAN, DNS, routing, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Security and Active Directory.
  • Maintain build versions (Virtual and Physical)
  • Assist patching resource, as needed.
  • Install server roles and features as needed
  • Provide operational support
  • Develop high level designs and supporting documentation for operational support
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required


  • Minimum of 3 years’ working in the Information technology field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting Windows Server OS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft patching and Microsoft security vulnerability management
  • Experience managing SSL certificates on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills
  • Analytical and detail oriented, able to prioritize, execute and meet deadlines
  • Ability to accomplishes tasks with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Skills

  • Prefer experience with disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Prefer knowledge of Active Directory administration, GPO (Group Policy Object) and local security policies.
