Criterion Systems provides valuable support to the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) IT Systems Engineering and Integration Support Program for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The DOL prepares the American workforce for new and better jobs, and ensures the adequacy of America’s workplaces. We seek candidates that provide high operational quality, knowledge of cloud services, and value to assist with data center consolidation and advance the DOL Mission.

Job Duties:

  • Provides leadership in establishing scalable and highly available  enterprise-wide, large scale implementation of information systems.
  • Utilizes expertise and knowledge of multiple technical disciplines, unique applications, and business management practices to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems.
  • Designs, plans and executes complex engineering activities.
  • Functions as the technical lead for multiple projects. Establishes and recommends policies and procedures related to design, architecture, quality improvement and deployment of projects.
  • Works as a trusted advisor to the customer and helps the customer in planning and development of a scalable and secured architecture.
  • Build a platform for data analytics using Open Source Technologies like R Shiny, Pentaho, Jupyter, Julia

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in implementing  IdAM platform like Ping Identity Server
  • Knowledge in data exchange framework like NextCloud
  • Knowledge and experience in container technologies like Docker and Container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
  • Experience in moving on-premise applications to Docker containers in cloud environment
  • Experience building, testing, deploying and operating highly scalable and resilient cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience in system administration and configuration management automation (Ansible, Puppet or Chef) and cloud provisioning tooling (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
  • Experience in shell scripting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • 10 years’ related experience
