Our expert-level staff support the installation, integration, and maintenance of a wide variety of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) computer systems and hardware/software applications in support of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground Systems (DCGS). Support includes: integration, network engineering support, configuration management, supply management, interface control, maintenance support, break/fix, and systems administration services.

We are seeking a Configuration Manager in Beale AFB, CA. In this role, the qualified candidate will manage configuration management (CM) of system components for Air Force DCGS. Requires quarterly travel to remote CONUS location and, occasionally, to participate in meetings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational baseline documentation is available for site use. This includes baseline drawings, Time Compliance Technical Orders and other sustainment documentation.
  • Verify baseline configuration changes are approved and advise site leadership of status of approvals.
  • Provide CM support for integration activities, to include planning and coordination, site surveys, modifications and installations.
  • Assist site personnel with preparation and submission of Modification Proposals for new capability requirements, to include reviewing, coordinating, processing and tracking all site modification proposals. Provide site leadership status updates on recurring basis.
  • Conduct CM audits according to the “Configuration Management Audit Guide".
  • Interface with IAO on security-relevant CM matters, ensuring security data on software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented. Notify the IAO of system configuration changes adversely impacting system security.
  • Coordinate with CM Lead and ensure awareness of recently approved NSRs/PSRs.
  • Assist with documenting and diagramming the baseline to ensure added/removed components are appropriately identified.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Two years experience solving complex problems and communicating effective solutions.
  • Two years experience with DoD Instructions, Military Handbooks, Commercial Specifications, Policies/Procedures, and Reference Documents.
  • Associate's degree and 2 years of Configuration Management experience (in lieu of degree, 5 years of experience is acceptable)
  • Ability to understand and follow hardware interconnectivity and network diagrams/drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and multi-task, set priorities, and follow time-lines.
  • Ability to support a constantly changing environment and coordinate with multiple teams.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AF DCGS systems and applications.
