Criterion Systems is a wonderful company to work for. They go above and beyond to satisfy employee requirements. The best part is their management and onsite managers who always strive to exceed employee expectations. Criterion is flexible with telework and their benefits are outstanding. I am proud to be part of the Criterion family.
I came to Criterion in 2017 with a mix of corporate and consulting experience. What attracted me most about Criterion was its company growth, its “homey” feeling, and its pool of talented individuals. I wanted to find a company where I could work for many years and be a name not a number; a place where I could roll up my sleeves, work hard, meet great people, improve my knowledge, and make an impact. Criterion allows me to grow in many areas of accounting and finance. Every day is different and never dreary. Criterion is a great place to work, with hard working individuals who want to make a difference. I am very thankful to be part of this fast growing and successful company
Criterion is a great place to work where teamwork and camaraderie at all levels come together to foster both professional and personal growth.
I have worked in a variety of industries and a large number of companies in my 54 revolutions around the Sun. Since moving into the Government contract arena, I have worked for no less than five different companies and each of those for a number of years. I am in my second year here with Criterion and I can tell you that we are doing things right. From the front-line contractor on up through to Promod, our CEO, we have the customer in mind and we get the task done and done well. I have never worked remote full time before this assignment and I feel more supported and appreciated than I ever have in any other place I have worked.
Criterion leadership makes a point to introduce themselves and get to know their employees. They are approachable at every level. You are not treated as a number or a seat or a billable commodity, you are treated as a valued employee who is part of a team. Every employee is encouraged to grow professionally and there are opportunities to grow within the company which is rare among government contractors. Criterion takes care of its people.
I just finished my first year at Criterion. In my 20+ years of working in IT, I have been never been as impressed with a company as I am with Criterion Systems. The company leadership is top-notch. Work-life balance and employee benefits are amazing and my position is also challenging and rewarding. I made the best career decision to join the Criterion team!
My favorite thing about Criterion is the management team. This is the first time I have worked with such a supportive, involved management team, from the site team lead to headquarters. There have been many opportunities to meet the management team and get to know who they are, making me feel appreciated and part of the company. Furthermore, there are great benefits and lots of opportunities for professional development. I believe Criterion has the best interest of employees at heart.
Working for Criterion has improved my quality of life and allows me to meet my family's needs as well as my own desire to continue to develop my professional career. It never gets boring. The team is tight knit and supportive, even though we come from different walks of life: educational, military, functional, and technical backgrounds. We all enjoy making the personal connection with the client and participating on diverse projects. We're in it to help the client and get the job done.
After 31 years of service I was nervous about making the transition from the Federal to the private sector. The leadership and employees at Criterion have been amazing and made me feel welcome since day one. I could not have joined a better, more supportive company to make my transition. It was very refreshing to find a company and leaders that make the employees and clients the number one priority. It’s great to walk into a room full of government and industry individuals and have them ask who I work for and, when I say “Criterion Systems,” they immediately know who we are and want to know more about what we are doing.
Criterion Systems is the third company I've worked for since I retired from the military. What sets Criterion apart from the previous companies are the people. They accepted me from day one and continue to mentor me to make a stronger team. The project we are on allows us to telework which helps me as a single parent when it comes to flexibility. In my previous positions, I burnt most of my vacation time taking time off to take care of medical and dental appointments for my kids. Additionally, Criterion provided tuition assistance with my master's program in my first year with the company. I'm grateful to work with such outstanding professionals.
I have worked in the IT field for more than 37 years, mostly as an IT manager on government contracts. I watched many of my co-workers make the move to Criterion and was curious. I talked with some of them and was impressed with their stories about how the company provided them with a friendly, supportive work environment. I reached out to the CEO (Promod Sharma) to see if Criterion could use my skills and was overwhelmed with the interest Promod showed as he welcomed me into the Criterion family. I am in my second year with the company as a project manager and look forward to many more great years.
One of the things that I love about working at Criterion Systems is their commitment to their employees. As a recruiter, you never want to hire someone for just one job. You want to hire people for a career. I have found that the goal of most government contractors is to put a butt in a seat, whereas Criterion wants to provide a career path. When talking to potential candidates, I love being able to speak to the fact that we look internally to promote prior to hiring externally. That’s a big advantage in this industry.
