14 May Bold Business Storytelling Pre-Conference Session at the TWC Virtual Leadership Conference
The Women’s Center is hosting virtual breakout sessions each Wednesday afternoon, beginning yesterday, for its Virtual Leadership Conference, that will take place June 8. The first session was on the topic, “Bold Business Storytelling” presented by Jan Fox. She discussed how to connect with people through personal and successful client stories and outlined a formula of how to tell a story using her personal story as an example.
Before Jan spoke, The Women’s Center outgoing CEO Shirley Clark and new CEO Rashna Krishnan kicked the conference off together, a true passing of the torch.
Marcie Cheney, Criterion’s senior vice president of business development strategy, has attended the TWC Leadership Conference for the past 12 years. She shared, “The first year, I was unsure about spending a Saturday at a conference, but it was more than worth it. This has been true for every year since, and I am happy to say that while it is disappointing we cannot get together in person, the virtual kickoff and breakout session was just as motivational and inspirational as I have come to expect. Jan’s story format is easy to remember and something we can start using immediately.”
Registered attendees of the conference are invited to join upcoming pre-conference (and one post-conference) sessions on the following topics:
- May 20 @ 4:30: Courageous Conversations in the COVID-19 New Normal A Skillset For Brave Leaders Presented by Karen deLacy
- May 27 @ 4:30: Embracing Feedback to Fuel Your Personal Brand Presented by Kim Wensel
