03 Jan 2017: Record Growth for Criterion
By Promod Sharma, CEO
As we begin 2018, I wanted to reflect on Criterion’s accomplishments in the past year, which included record growth and financial performance. I am proud of our employee-owners and their commitment to supporting our customers’ missions across the federal government.
In 2017, Criterion continued to be an industry recognized small business Cybersecurity and IT leader, recently receiving the Moxie Award in the Cybersecurity Category. This award is a corporate achievement and I would like to thank our employees, as it is the direct result of their exceptional technical expertise and steadfast commitment to help our customers achieve mission objectives.
Furthermore, Criterion was also recognized on the Prestigious Inc. 5000 List in 2017 as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. In the last two years, Criterion has almost tripled its revenue and total staff strength that is a result of organic growth across our current contracts supporting agencies such as the Department of Energy (DOE) and recent contract awards with new customers including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Information Technology Center (NITC) ($85M) and the Department of Commerce ($25M).
My commitment to Criterion in 2018 is to continue this record growth, sustain the current momentum, and deliver on our mission of building a world-class Cybersecurity and IT company. My promise to our customers is to continue to deliver innovative technical solutions for complex problems and exceptional customer service.
Based on current contract backlog, our pipeline of upcoming opportunities, and our focus on key agencies and service offerings, we are poised to continue our impressive growth over the next two years.
I am confident that we will make 2018 an even greater success.
